I picked up the Vancouver Sun's front section today (tuesday) at the office -- I stopped subscribing about the time they started making bald face lies for Harpor during the last campaign -- and was curious as to the main story on page one, about whether you can answer the questions that a Grade 5 would.
I did the dumb test and failed miserably. And was still amazed that this was the front page story.
Then later on I found out why. Global was plugging its newest TV show -- are you smarter than a Gr. 5 (or something equally as obtuse)...
The editorial board has the spine of the Conservative cabinet. You can only serve one master at a time, and pure commerce is what drives CanWest's boat. Journalism has been virtually dead in Canada since the mid-90s, so I shouldn't be surprised...
